On March 17th, 2017, California State Senator Connie Leyva Introduced Senate Bill 320, otherwise known “College Student Right to Access Act.” This groundbreaking piece of legislation would require all California institutions of higher education (UC’s, CSU’s, and Community Colleges) to provide medication abortion if they have an on-campus student health center. We, Students United for Reproductive Justice, are hosting a rally to show our excitement for this bill, and how we unequivocally support college medication abortion access. Senate Bill 320 came directly from the work of UC Berkeley activists, who have been pushing the UC Berkeley administration to provide medication abortion for over a year a half. While we have hit many roadblocks on this campus, we are so excited about this bill and we know that California college abortion access is something that students STRONGLY support, so come out and make your voice heard!
We strongly encourage anyone to speak on behalf of this bill and why abortion access matters to you, so please sign up! Priority will be granted to those with a personal connection to this issue. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdcrzOqJJk29JxMU5tcKki6fmYfMIzYiahIz6fxhX7oYEimnQ/viewform?usp=sf_link
