Youth Aid Non Profit Organization is excited to announce today the first annual «Taste of Oakland Fest,» showcasing the Bay Area's unique independence, culture and innovative spirit featuring music, technology, and food. On Saturday, May 13, 2017, Oakland’s historic Dunsmuir House will come alive with music and activities for all ages.
Nestled in the beautiful park setting in the Oakland Hills, iconic musicians and an array of artisans will flaunt their respective talents and skills. Attendees will dance to an incredible musical line-up with a special performance by Tony Toni Tone!. They can test their coding proficiency while participating in hack-a-tons in the Tech Pavilion, or score a goal at the sports clinic. Children will be entertained with activities designed especially for them.
Organized by Youth Aid Non Profit and in collaboration with Oakland Parks, Recreation and Youth Development, the brainchild of the «Taste of Oakland Fest—Oakland native, Grammy award-winning R&B artist, music producer and founding member of Tony! Toni! Toné!— D'Wayne Wiggins is thrilled to showcase a breakthrough line-up of local performing artists, culinary entrepreneurs, and technology innovators.
Food, drinks (including beer, wine, and cocktails), will be available for purchase. Chairs will be available for a small fee.
*No outside chairs, no outside food, no outside beverages are allowed at the festival
