Wake Up The World Tour — Voices of Water
Join us in Oakland, CA for a panel from 2-4 at the Intertribal Friendship House. Live performance 7-11 at the Legionnaire Saloon, 21+ no cover, 2272 Telegraph Ave, Oakland.
After a long fight for our water and Indigenous treaty rights at the Oceti Sakowin camp (also known as the Oceti Oyate resistance camp north of the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota) a group of dedicated water protectors are ready to take the next steps in continuing their fight by hitting the road, traveling on tour, and sharing their frontline experiences across Turtle Island.
The Wake Up The World Tour features musical performances, workshops and speaking engagements by Nataanii Means, Witko, Art Vee, Tufawon, Calina Lawrence, Yaz Like Jaws, and Jayohcee. All are water protectors and freedom fighters who have well established themselves as hip-hop artists throughout the years. They have more or less been on the frontlines since the resistance camps were first established until the heavily militarized forced removal of the camps took place.
If you are interested in bringing the spirit of resistance through the talent and art of these young storytellers, please contact us to book a date of resistance. We are committed to fighting for Indigenous rights and environmental justice. We look forward to visiting your city!
