Imagine yourself in the blistering heat of northern Thailand, riding on a screaming motor-scooter in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. You happen upon a packed road-side stand. Under a tin roof, people are squatting on tiny plastic chairs hovered over impossibly aromatic bowls of curry noodle soup while sipping cold, crisp beers.
This is the joy of Khao Soi. Join Adam Zolot in Russian Hill to savor some Thai snacks, beer, Cambodian surf-rock, and this beloved curry noodle soup.

Course 1: Thai Snacks
Snacks include fried cashews, shrimp chips and an assortment of other nibbles and bites. As our crowd arrives, we'll have a beer or two and get to know each other.
Course 2: Khao Soi
Khao Soi is a curry based noodle soup. The dish consists of a rich broth over silky noodles and tender-braised chicken, topped with crispy noodles. Thais love to self-season, so we'll have pickled mustard greens, shallots, cilantro, fish sauce, lime and roasted chile paste on the side.
Course 3: Thai Dessert
We'll wrap up with a small bite of a coconut-based Thai dessert and some pocky treats.
