Quantum Martial Arts - San Francisco
2390 Mission St, Ste 305, San Francisco, California 94110
Do you ride a bike or motorcycle and want to feel safer on the roads? This workshop is for you! In this FREE workshop cyclists will have the opportunity to practice diving, rolling, and falling in a safe, padded environment. Rolling on the mat will train you to roll safely on the road as you learn to dive, survive, and return quickly to your feet.
Using techniques borrowed from Japanese martial art Judo (“the gentle way”), you’ll practice dispersing energy as you hit the ground safely, avoiding direct impact on your joints and bones.
Diving rolls for distance throws, hard rolls for close-range impact, side falls, and moving on the ground will all be covered. Partner movement drills will train your reflexes, improving response time and honing concepts of awareness, foresight, and staying present in the moment.
Participants should wear comfortable workout clothing you can move in, and bring a water bottle. All ages and expereince levels welcome!
Workshop is taught by Master Rachael Evans.
Attendance is limited to 25 participants. Please RSVP on Facebook and by emailing [email protected]
