Don't miss out on this year’s 3rd annual Our Power Festival on August 12, 2017 from 12 PM — 3 PM at Nicholl Park (on Macdonald Ave near Richmond Civic Center).
The Our Power Festival celebrates the resilience of the Richmond community. In 2012 Chevron had a major incident and nearly killed 19 workers and sent 15,000 people to the hospital. Since then, Richmond community members and organizations have stepped it up in engaging democracy at a grassroots level and taking back the City from Chevron influence and work towards building out a more sustainable and healthy standard of living. The Our Power Festival highlights current work and campaigns of organizations committed to making Richmond a healthier and sustainable place to live, work and play.
This festival is a safe and open space so bring the family and friends out, learn how community organizations are transforming the way we think and live around, clean air and water, locally sourced agriculture, clean renewable energy, bike-friendly city, meaningful work and sustainable living.
