Join the Alzheimer’s Association and Congressman Mark DeSaulnier for a conversation about improving care for people facing Alzheimer’s and other serious and life-threatening illnesses.
Palliative care is designed to manage and ease symptoms, reduce pain and stress and increase comfort for patients and their care partners. It has been shown to improve care and quality of life and reduce hospitalizations for people with late-stage dementia.
Learn about the benefits, availability and future of access to palliative care in Contra Costa County, from experts including Dr. Sally Sample, Chief Medical Officer, Hospice of the East Bay and Dr. Jeffrey Klingman, Chief of Neurology at Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek.
This event is free but RSVP is required. Space is limited.
