Are you interested in using your data skills for good? Or are you a nonprofit that wants help to use your data to amplify impact?
Delta Analytics brings together data scientists, data analysts, and engineers from around the Bay Area to volunteer their skills for nonprofits around the world.
Join us on Saturday 7/22 in a space generously provided by the USF Data Institute to:
— Learn about our 2017 fellows and the work we’ve done with 28 nonprofit grant recipients to date; our fellows will present lightning talks and poster sessions about our 2017 grant recipients
— Hear more about our new teaching fellows initiative, where we partnered with engineering schools in Nairobi, Kenya to teach machine learning to local communities
— Interested in volunteering your skills? Find out how you can apply to be a 2018 data fellow or teaching fellow! Whether you want to use your machine learning skills to build technical capacity all over the world or help local non-profits use data drive impact in their communities, come chat with our fellows to learn more about their experience and our new application cycle.
— Nonprofit? Chat with our current fellows and learn about our 2018 grant recipient application. Learn about what we can do for you! We provide over six months of data expertise for you-- all for free (our data volunteers work entirely pro bono).
No data knowledge is necessary for the event-- we plan to make it as accessible as possible, so please come to say hello to us, support our projects, or sip on some free wine and eat some appetizers generously provided by the Data Institute.
Anyone interested in data science or social justice is invited to attend, so feel free to share with your friends!
Please RSVP via our Eventbrite link as seating is limited (and spots are free, there are also donation based tickets available!): eventbrite.com/e/delta-analytics-2017-fellowship-finale-event-tickets-34741978192
