Embracing changes: a joyful understanding of impermanence
with Gunther Huang
KMC San Francisco
San Francisco CA 94110
As we face changes, we often experience concern and fear. It is often difficult to know the best way to handle changes and our mind becomes vulnerable. A deeper understanding on the impermanent nature of different aspects in our life will enable us to mentally prepare for the unforeseen.
The Kadam Buddhists' perspective of impermanence can help us develop and maintain inner peace through life's changes and find the best strategy to cope with difficult situations. With the mind of impermanence, we shall have less worry and anxiety.
All of our drop-in meditation classes are perfectly suited for busy modern people. You do not need to be a Buddhist to enjoy and understand Buddha’s teachings – anyone can benefit from increased inner peace.
The general structure of the class is as follows:
Simple guided breathing meditation
Practical teaching on how to solve problems in daily life
Second guided meditation on the teaching topic
Brief discussion or Q & A
