Herbal Camping Trip to the Pinnacles National Park
...for Novices and Seasoned Herbalists
April 20th thru April 22nd 2018 (Registration Ends April 1st)
Join us as we explore the abundant flora in the volcanic landscape that is Pinnacles National Park. We will journey through grasslands, chaparral, oak woodlands, and canyon bottoms to learn the basics of botanical identification and the edible and medicinal properties of the abundance of plant life we will encounter during the season of wildflower bloom.
On this car camping trip we will take leisurely day hikes from our base camp to discover some of California's most beautiful plants and best herbal medicines. There are over 2,700 species of flora in the park. We can expect to see many of the following: Pinnacles Wildflowers
Afternoon programs will also include connecting with plants through plant spirit journeying and flower essence medicine making. There will be ample free time where participants are encouraged to relax, reconnect to nature and soak in the gorgeous wild.
Logistics: We will be car camping at a campground in the Pinnacles National Park. Students will need to supply their own camping gear. We will have a group kitchen and participants will be paired up to create one community meal (please let us know of any dietary restrictions prior to the trip). We will have a group meeting prior to the trip to figure out meal planning, carpooling, and other logistics.
