Habitot Children's Museum in Downtown Berkeley is a Summer Island Party FREE Admission Day sponsored by Union Pacific Foundation on Saturday, August 26th from 9:30am-4:30pm.

Celebrate the end of summer with Habitot! Create shell and sand art activities, dress up with Hawaiian leis, and sway to island tunes performed live by the Kapalakiko I Ke Aloha Band. Splash around in WaterWorks and check out the different tropical fruits in the Grocery Store. Habitot's Island Party is a nonstop fun-filled day of learning through play!

About Habitot Children's Museum:

Habitot Children's Museum was founded by parents and educators nineteen years ago to meet the unique needs and interests of infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a safe and developmentally appropriate community setting. Habitot’s mission is to help the broad community of parents and caregivers raise curious, creative and confident children. Hands-on exhibits and programs focus exclusively on early childhood.

Since opening in 1998, Habitot has welcomed over 1,125,000, filling a niche for new parents and caregivers who seek safe and enriching experiences for young children, 0-5, as well as parenting support, connection and information for themselves. Habitot Children’s Museum has been recognized as the “Best Museum for Families” and “Best Indoor Play Space” by Bay Area Parent Magazine and Parents’ Press readers. Since 2010, Habitot has been designated a “Top-Rated Non-profit” by GreatNonprofits, a leading provider of reviews and ratings of nonprofit organizations. Habitot received the GuideStar Exchange Silver participation level, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc., the premier source of nonprofit information.
