It's our fourth annual NightLife LIVE summer music series! Inspired by science and powered by sound, the Academy will transform into an oasis of music and art on one specal night per month.

→ Light up the night with incredible night-worthy art installations including Quarso's «SpaceWay», Lynn Bryant's illuminated «Sentient Obelisk», and Ingham Media's «Symmetrical Chaos». Stage visuals by All of it Now. In the piazza, check out Artbots by Liz Mamorsky and a Robots Art Collection with The SmArtGalleries by Daylighted.
→ Cutting-edge visual artists and projects each week from the Bay Area’s most buzzworthy art collectives and studios—from immersive light shows and place-based art installations to VR experiences by Dream Logic offering new perspectives on the natural world.
→ Hands-on, nature-inspired crafts with Julia Jane Moore and creativity workshops with Paint Pens Collective.
→ Rotating pop-up shops from local vendors like Amoeba San Francisco and a “one-night-only” custom design with screen printing by San Franpsycho. (BYOS! Bring a light-colored shirt, tote, or fabric for a dark ink print. On-site screen prints will cost $10.)
— Tickets: $15 per person, $12 for Academy members (*please note premier ticket price for October 12 event: $20 per person, $17 for Academy members)
— PLEASE NOTE: The rainforest will be closed for updates during the month of September.
— Planetarium passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early event arrival is strongly recommended due to limited capacity and high demand for passes.
— Enjoy a different fresh seasonal «craft on draft» cocktail at each NightLife bar area. All bars accept cash and credit cards.
— A variety of food options are available at NightLife, including The Academy Café, The Terrace, and a food cart located in the front lobby.
— Special programs and lectures may have limited seating and admission will also be made available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
