Join us for the Intro to SURJ SF November Meeting!
This meeting is a great way to get an introduction to SURJ and our work and to meet other people ready to take action for racial justice.
For the activity section of this meeting, we will facilitate a session on Calling In for the Holidays! How can we have constructive conversations about issues of race and racism with our loved ones, even when we might disagree? We know it’s not easy but it’s an important way white allies can show up for racial justice. At this session, we’ll share some tips, imagine a few scenarios and practice how we might be in those conversations.
As part of our regular Intro to SURJ SF, you'll hear about our Workgroups, projects and how you can get involved. Our current Workgroups are: Base Building, Administrative & Communications, Direct Action, Saturday Dialogues, Queer & Trans, and Youth & Families.
