How can we use AI to address cardiovascular disease? Can deep learning democratize medical imaging for better patient outcomes? The mission of Bay Labs is to put medical imaging into the hands of every medical professional, from cardiologists to technicians to nurses and perhaps one day, anyone with a smartphone. With this goal in mind, Bay Labs applies deep learning technology to cardiovascular ultrasound imaging to help with detection and diagnosis of heart disease.

Join us for an evening of learning followed by a lively discussion! Doors at 8pm, talk begins at 8.30pm on the dot.
Donation-based! Suggested donation $5

Our speaker: Natalia Bilenko has been an engineer at Bay Labs for a little over a year. Before that, she received a PhD in Neuroscience from UC Berkeley for her work in computational modeling of human brain responses to movies and speech and a Masters in Computer Science for visualization of narratives. In her spare time, Natalia loves working on science-inspired art, including contributing to creation of Dr. Brainlove, an interactive 27-foot-long light-up brain-shaped Burning Man art car.
