Blockchain is creating a big wave in numerous industries, what does it mean for the life sciences? Join us for a panel discussion about Blockchain and the Life Sciences at Indiebio HQ. We will discuss blockchain applications in funding research, biotech supply chains, solving technical challenges, and the different ways our speakers see the future potential of blockchain technology for science. We will also welcome a new batch of Indiebio entrepreneurs.
Speakers:

Reese Jones associate founder of Singularity University. Reese is a biophysicist who has helped launch and grow mutliple companies, innovations, and patents in biotech. He is an avid blockchain investor.

Chandra Duggirala CEO of Aqua Foundation — inventor and serial entrepreneur. Learn about the AQUA crowdsale and what it could mean for biotech research. Chandra is a practicing medical physician, his other interests are nutrition, bioinformatics, and diabetes research.

Angie Carillo co-founder of Liks — a coding and robotics boot camp and co-founder of Nextbiotics a platform that engineers viruses for good. Angie is an entrepreneur with expertise in exponential technologies.

Dr. Sue Xu is a Managing Partner at Amino Capital and interim CEO of CandyHouse. She has been involved with over 100 investments, including OmiseGo, the first unicorn ICO. Dr. Sue Xu began her early stage entrepreneurship when she was the founding scientist of GlycoMira (also involved in undergrad and PhD laboratory spin-offs).

Louis Mikal (Moderator and Organizer) COO of Serendipia — co-op of green and creative living spaces, with an upcoming TGE. Louis has a background in biochem and tech management.

Opening keynote speaker:

Alex Kopelyan program director and partner at Indiebio. Alex has a Doctorate of Pharmacy. His work has been in clinical practice, international development, startups, and wellness.
