Animal Rescue Fair!

Do you love cats and dogs? Support animal Rescue?
Come hang out with us and meet other people who love animals, as well as some friendly dogs that will be at the event.
We be sharing some short presentations by different local cat and dog shelters, rescue groups and animal advocacy groups.
There would also be refreshments such as fresh coffee, tea, and pastries. Many of the local cat and dog advocacy groups will be bringing information and merchandise to sell so you can support their work and get come cool stuff too! There will also be rescued animals at the event that you can meet. :)

12:00 — Doors open
12:15 — Kitty welcomes and introduces the space

12:20 — 1pm, giving an estimated ~5 minutes to each group:

12:25 — 12:30 Palomacy presentation

12:40-12:45 Cat Town presentation
12:45 — 12:50pm — Questions
1-2pm — Socializing time, for guests to check out the tables, talk more with each group, ask questions to each group, buy merchandise, etc.

— LOCATION/DIRECTIONS: Most of our events are held at the Berkeley Animal Rights Center located in Suite C at 2425 Channing Way. If taking BART, get off at Downtown Berkeley station, walk south on Shattuck Ave (for 5 blocks), make a left on Channing Way, and walk another 5 blocks until you see the big red pillars — you’re here! We strive to offer walking buddies to attendees who feel unsafe walking to/from BART or other short distances in the area — please email us at [email protected] to request a walking buddy.

PARKING: There is a parking garage at the center (free for the first hour) and metered street parking in the vicinity. Please remove all valuables from your car.

ACCESSIBILITY: The Berkeley Animal Rights Center has stair-free access from Channing Way. The front doors of the center open to 5ft wide. The bathroom entrance is 34” wide, and there is one accessible stall with horizontal grab bars on the right and back of the toilet. The toilet is 18” high.
