8- 9p Urban Kiz Instruction
Eddie Hercules was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has had a nonconventional dance path since he didn't grow up dancing from a young age. Most of his life was spent training in sports like football, baseball, and running track. Years of kinesthetic training has made all the difference for Eddie Hercules as he transitioned into training for Kizomba, Semba, Urban Kiz, and Afro-Movements.
Eddie Hercules’ began taking Afro-Haitian classes for a West African drumming dance program from 2003 to 2008. During this time he gained a listening ear for musicality, and a passion for afro-rhythms movement. After graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Chemical & Bimolecular Engineering, Eddie could return to his passion. In 2015, Eddie took his first Kizomba classes and continues to travel globally to train with top instructors from all over Europe and beyond. Eddie has further dedicated himself to Kizomba and Urban kiz by co-founding The Kizomba Dance Alliance, an organization that supports the growth of dance in the US and San Francisco Bay Area.
