Samiam was formed in late 1988 after the breakup of the Gilman club mainstay Isocracy. Their first show was in January 1989 with Christ on Parade. They released records through New Red Archives and Hopeless Records in the US and Burning Heart Records in Europe. In the mid-'90s, the band had two releases on major labels, Atlantic Records in 1994 and Ignition/Tommy Boy in 1997. This path achieved modest mainstream success; a video for «Capsized» gained a lot of airplay on MTV, they performed on The Jon Stewart Show in 1994 and the single «She Found You» garnered considerable radio play in 1998. The band toured extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Japan with Bad Religion, Green Day, The Toadies, Sense Field, blink-182, and Millencolin.
For the last nine years Long Island New York natives Iron Chic have been one of the most exciting bands in punk rock. Their DIY ethos and heartfelt, catchy sing along choruses have gained them masses of fans all over the world.
Founded in Seattle, WA by vocalist and songwriter John Maiello in 2013, Dead Bars had a very specific plan to play one show, record a demo, and tour only Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. After four years of playing more shows, recording five 7" released on three different labels in three different countries, and never touring outside the continental United States, Dead Bars released their first LP titled Dream Gig on No Idea Records in 2017. Sometimes things don't always go as planned, and sometimes you don't get what you want. Keep On Dreamin.
Punk / post-hardcore band from Santa Rosa, California. Northern Californian outfit Slow Bloom manages to combine the visceral post-punk of iconic mainstays like Refused and At The Drive In with the alt sensibilities of Nirvana. The four piece captures a wild energy that feels as raging and aggressive as it is fresh.
