San Francisco Yogis!
Tired of being the only “big” person in a yoga class? Want to be with other big, loud, queer and proud folks? All ages, races & genders welcome.
Come try out Big Yoga Life’s — BodyLove Yoga class with a circle of other humans that want to create space for something new and different in the yoga community! This is a much needed change in the Bay Area Yoga community!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I know a lot of yoga teachers, and a lot of studios that really strive to be inclusive, to be diverse and really cater to all body sizes. We need more people doing this work, and there can’t be enough of us really...The truth of the matter is, unless you are a bigger bodied person, you don’t know what it’s like to move in a bigger body! And that is not what most teachers look like in the yoga world. I’m here to change that stereotype.
In this 3 hour workshop we will circle up, relate to each other, find what feels good to move, and learn how to love our body exactly where it is at, with other people! We will explore sun salutations against the wall, with a chair, and on the mat. Focus will be a bit more on opening the shoulders, exploring twists, and engaging your core (where bigger bodies tend to need a little more focus!).
All props are included, please bring a mat if you have one.
Sliding Scale until March 9th: $30-40
Price after March 9th $45
If any tickets available on day of, price will be $50
I will be able to give out two low income scholarships for folks in need, please email me [email protected]

The space is wheelchair accessible.
Angela started her yoga journey in 1999, and never thought she could actually be a yoga teacher until she went on a retreat with Anna Guest Jelley of Curvy Yoga. Her mind was officially blown seeing a big bodied yoga teacher in a room filled with other big bodies! She realized she had something to offer other people. That seeing someone that looks like you, doing something you admire is powerful. Angela founded Big Yoga Life in 2016, and now teaches 3-4 classes a week in Oakland and Berkeley.
