We are feeling blessed to bring 'The Sound Healing Symphony' back to Grace Cathedral TWICE in March. Almost 1400 of us will gather together to relax our minds and experience peace.

This experience brings you to your deepest meditative state, and brings us all closer together as a community.

Our soothing ensemble is a convergence of some of the west coast’s best meditative musicians. We come together in harmony to elucidate your deepest state of clarity, soothe away your worries, and bring you closer to your heart.

Led by Guy Douglas, and featuring an array of amazing & talented musicians on gongs, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Native American flutes, Didgeridoo, Celtic Harp, Monochord, Vibraphone and so much —

Sarah Glass {vocals}, Wendy Tahara {harp}, Lydia Hwang {monochord}, Russell Feingold {didgeridoo}, Atusa Amani {didgeridoo}, Loriel Starr {gong}, Marco Ferrero, Xenia Giolli + Celine Rezvani {gong}, Simona Marie Asinovski {crystal singing bowls} and Dan Neville {vibraphone}

Sound Meditation (often known as ‘sound healing’) is the practice of listening to soothing sounds to reach profound states of clarity and relaxation. It opens up deep meditative states that are usually unreachable without considerable effort.

During the event, participants lie down and are bathed head to toe in sound— it's a very hypnotic, ethereal experience.

You will come away with a clear mind, and a deeper appreciation for the wonder of sound. We strongly recommend this event for people who have trouble meditating, or feel like they just «can't get there.» Give this a try :).

Sound Meditation SF promotes the ancient healing practice of sound work as a way to affect physical health and conscious awareness.

Featuring:

Led by Guy Douglas {gong, crystal singing bowls, flute, and more}

Guy Douglas, co-founder of Sound Meditation SF, is a Sound Healing Practitioner/gongmaster. He has been involved with the healing power of music his whole life from many different perspectives: writing, recording, producing and performing. He has studied sound healing techniques & the eastern philosophy of music, which helps clear dormant pathways to open the heart.

Sarah Glass {vocals}

Sarah started classical piano lessons at the age of 3, and the first 7 years of her lessons were entirely dedicated to ear-training. Sarah plays harp, percussion, guitar, voice, mandolin, sitar, and also specializes in live sound engineering and audio recording. She is the founder of a music school, with the goal of helping people of all ages (from infancy to old age) express themselves freely through music.

Wendy Tahara {harp}

Wendy Tahara began classical piano lessons at the age of seven, eventually earning a piano performance degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. She has been playing the Celtic harp since 2006, & is an active composer and improviser on both instruments. In December 2012, she played at the 3HO Winter Solstice Festival, & has most recently enjoyed playing for Satkirin Kaur Khalsa and Braco.

Lydia Hwang {monochord}

Lydia's journey started in 2004 in South of France with Fabien Maman and Tamado Academy. Since then, she has deepened her knowledge under the guidance of reknown sound practitioner, Wolfgang Dienertz

Russell Feingold {didgeridoo}

Russell is a shamanic sound healer, ceremonialist, and author of the Heart Wisdom. He has been walking the path of Peruvian Shamanism for almost 20 years, and has over twenty 25 years of study and practice in holistic healing, deep therapeutic process work, energy medicine, and meditation.

Atusa Amani {didgeridoo}

Atusa Amani is a multi-instrumentalist, Sound Healing Practitioner and Teacher, exploring the sacred power of the Didgeridoo since 2004. Atusa offers a unique live sonic experience whether it’s to entrain the mind into a state of stillness or to activate the body into a high energy-dance-state. Her intention is to form community thru music and create a safe, fun environment for transformation and self-exploration.

Marco Ferrero {gong}

Marco Ferrero is a Blue Coast Records recording artist, a bassist and a multi-media installation artist, taking the lead on productions at Sound Meditation SF.

Loriel Starr {gong}
