Movement Workshop with Antoine Hunter + Urban Jazz Dance Company

Deaf dance master Antoine Hunter and dancers from his Urban Jazz Dance Company (UJDC) lead three energetic, fun-filled dance, movement and storytelling workshops for families inspired by the special exhibition Divine Bodies. In a safe space for artistic expression, you will learn to jump, roll and turn as well as how to communicate using your body and non-verbal language. Discover the art of UJDC’s storytelling dance and create your own story too!

Workshops are open to everyone — all-level signers, Deaf children, hearing children, and children of Deaf adults. No prior dance experience necessary.

*Schedule:*

-stART Tour for kids ages 3–6: 10:30–11 AM
-docent Kids’ Tour for ages 7–10: 11–11:30 AM
-movement workshops: each 30 min at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM & 1:30 PM
-storytelling for families: 12:45–1:30 PM
