Geographer's new EP, 'Alone Time,' is the result of 2 years of that same kind of recording he used to do as a teenager. Days at a time spent alone, so that he could capture the music always coursing through his head, knowing that one day this hermetic existence would bring him in front of crowds of people. The songs explore, as do the rest of his catalog, the nature of existence, the self, an uncertain but optimistic curiosity about why we are here, and what it means to love and lose each other, but most of all, 'Alone Time' is a meditation on loneliness. While he needs solitude to make his songs, the place Geographer has said he truly feels alive is not alone with his thoughts, but together with strangers, on stage at his concerts.

Sure Sure is a left-field pop band from Los Angeles, California. The highly collaborative group, composed of Chris Beachy (keyboardist, singer), Charlie Glick (guitarist, singer), Kevin Farzad (drums, percussion) and Michael Coleman (producer), has been releasing music since 2014. Perched on a hill in Highland Park, the boys self-produce all their music in their house-turned-studio – a myriad of instruments positioned throughout the first floor, with cables snaking up the walls to the recording console upstairs. Sure Sure’s recordings and infectious live show have quickly solidified them as one of the most exciting up and coming bands in LA. Their sound is characterized by a glowing warmth, ear-worm melodies, and driving rhythms, like if the Talking Heads, Tame Impala and Steely Dan raised their love child together under the California sun.

San Francisco native and singer-songwriter Andrew St. James is a rare talent who has single handedly combined San Francisco’s beatnik past with it’s willfully high-tech future. St James writes and performs music that lives up to the mythology created by Neil Young, Jerry Garcia and Jack Kerouac while easily meeting the bar set by current luminaries such as Father John Misty, Ryan Adams, and other keepers of the singer-songwriter flame. But Andrew St James is in a class of his own, as a listen to any of his recorded work will make readily apparent.
Andrew St. James currently lives in San Francisco, where he continues working with long time producer Jim Greer, a relationship that led to a recent songwriting collaboration with popular Bay Area band Geographer. The song, entitled “Jaguar” will be released as a bonus track on a split 7″ vinyl with Geographer out on Tricycle Records on July 20th, 2018.
