Every summer, Sunset Piano and the San Francisco Botanical Gardens organize an event called Flower Piano. They place twelve pianos in different areas of the gardens where they get to live outside for two very magical weeks, and they are played by the public and used for concerts by local pianists. This year, I am one of Flower Piano's featured artists, and I'm playing two daytime concerts, July 14th and 15th. I'll be playing some Bach, Chopin, and my own compositions for an hour set on Saturday and a two hour set on Sunday. Lots of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier.
This is one of my favorite times of the year and I'm so pleased to be contributing. On Saturday I'm playing on the Conifer Lawn, and on Sunday on the Great Meadow. As you walk into the park, you will be given a map so that you can find these spots. If you want to see me play, I recommend getting there with ample time because the park is huge and it may be hard to pin me down.
